Over time, you handbag may accumulate with different kinds of smell thanks to the variety of stuffs you put in it. Now, take up one of your precious handbag and sniff, how does it smell?

Use charcoal or carbon and place it inside your handbag for a day. Charcoal is well known for its ability to absorb odors and toxins in the air. The medical uses of charcoal is absorption of poison, so if you throw one in your handbag, it will only do you good and nothing bad.
You can easily get one activated charcoal box from shopping mall or any hardware shop. You can also use those that are designed to put in car, they get the job done too.
Wiping the interior of your handbag with a damp cloth or a thick wet tissue. Take note and make sure you don’t make the interior wet, as it will cause fungi to form inside the bag, which is making it worse. Wiping allows you to remove any contamination that is stick on top of the surface. Once you have done wiping, remember to dry it to eliminate the moisture.
Use baking soda. Baking soda has almost the same feature as charcoal, which is to remove bad odors from the air. Leave one overnight and the next day your bag will smell as good as new.
Put your handbag in the freezer, sounds crazy right? Wrap and cover your handbag in a sealed plastic bag then place it in the freezer for a few hours. The plastic cover will prevent your handbag from getting wet. The extreme cold temperature of your freezer should kill bacteria, mold and mildew.
Put it under the sun. Pretty traditional and popular method. However if it is a leather bag, you MUST not use this method as the prolonged duration of exposing to the heat will make the leather crack.
